North Central Texas is seeing an increase in population and land ownership in our rural communities as families look to relocate outside of the metropolitan area. This is being made possible by large agricultural areas being sold and subdivided into 1-5 acre tracts. This is leading to many individuals in our Hood-Johnson-Somervell County area becoming first time landowners. The educational need for these individuals was addressed for them to become the best stewards of their natural resources and agriculture ventures. The Landowner Development Series was put together to target the new and small landowners in the Tri-County area. A monthly series format is being used to allow for timely delivery of informational topics over a year timeline and present the opportunity for increased depth of information by having specialized AgriLife personnel and local experts present to our clientele.

The promotional package is made up of 3 different pieces designed by agents through online graphic design software. Each component was posted at 14 Feed/ Hardware stores, 9 agribusinesses, emailed to 597 recipients and advertised on multiple social media platforms. The two classes held so far have had an attendance of 18.
